BSES Fun Run/Walk Fundraiser 2009

On Thursday, October 29th, All BSES students will be participating in the Fun Run/Walk by running/walking around a ¼ mile “track” during their special area times. (Rain Date 11/5). All funds raised will go toward funding other PTO activities for the school and to build a walking/running track for the BSES community.

HOW TO RAISE FUNDS:

To support a specific student, you can donate (cash, check, or money order) in one of two ways:

  1. A flat donation for a specific amount of money (money due to classroom teachers with pledge/sponsor sheets by Wednesday, October 28th). Rain date collection: 11/4.

  2. A pledge donation per completed lap (money will be collected by student after the Fun Run/Walk and due to classroom teachers with pledge sheets by Friday, November 6th to qualify for awards). Rain date collection: 11/13.

AWARDS:

Students have the opportunity to earn an individual as well as a classroom award for their achievements during the Fun Run/Walk:

Individual Awards:

  • Every 10 sponsors = 1 ticket in raffle for $25 Academy Sports gift card (one winner per grade level)

(one of each award below per grade level grouping: PK-K, 1-2, 3-4, 5)

  • Most completed laps = Gold Medal engraved with student's name, participate in designing, decorating, and riding the Barnett Shoals Elementary float in the ACC Leisure Services Parade of Lights on Dececember 3rd.

  • Most money collected; Highest # of donating sponsors = winner's choice of one of the following:

    • Free uniform and 1 free month's lessons at Barnett Tae Kwon Do

    • $100 Gift Card to Academy Sports & Outdoors.

    • Free Funopolis visit for four.


Classroom Award:

(one winning classroom per grade level grouping PK-K, 1-2, 3-4, 5):

  • Most money collected = PTO sponsored movie on the “big screen” in the cafeteria with popcorn and drinks.
